The 2016 AAAS Annual Meeting will take place in Washington DC, February 11-15, 2016. Registration is now open for reporters and science communicators for newsroom access. News briefings start Thursday, February 11.
AAAS will feature more than 150 lectures, seminars, and symposia on emerging areas of research and topics at the intersection of science and society.
Renew contact with science sources and make new ones. Gather story ideas for the year ahead. Mingle with colleagues at receptions and social events, including the AAAS Kavli Science Journalism Awards reception and ceremony on Friday, February 12, at The Smithsonian’s National Zoo.
The Newsroom facilities will be in the Washington Marriott Wardman Park and rooms are available there for Newsroom registrants. When your registration is confirmed, you will receive a link for making reservations at official meeting hotels at a discounted rate through the AAAS Travel Desk. Be sure to book your air travel and hotel reservations early.
