Grants for Journalist Attending the 7th World Science Forum (Budapest, 4 – 7 November)

After the highly successful 2013 World Science Forum held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences will host the 2015 biennial event themed The Enabling Power of Science’ reflecting on the capacity of science to open new paths for the improvement of human life, business innovation and policy-making.

A unique opportunity for experienced journalists interested in science, mathematics, and computer science

The Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS) is a basic research institute promoting data-driven science. 120 scientists from 22 countries are working in research fields from molecular biology to astrophysics – working with mathematical methods and computer science tools. 

HITS has started the “Journalist in Residence” program 4 years ago. It offers a paid 3-6 months´stay (5000 Euros per month) for experienced science journalists interested in Big Data. Up to now, four journalists from the U.S., Spain, and Germany have been at HITS.READ MORE
