Membership criteria
The WFSJ accepts associations that represent science journalists. Associations can act at the city, provincial, state, regional, national, or international level.
Key criteria are that the association:
- Represents science journalists
- Elects its governing body
- Holds regular meetings of its governing body
- Has a constitution
Associations that do not fulfil the above criteria but that wish to join the WFSJ can do so by applying to be an Associate Member of the WFSJ.
Membership fee
The annual membership fee is currently set at US$ 1 per member in your association on 31 January of each year, up to a maximum of US$ 300.
In the case of newly formed associations, the Board of Directors of the WFSJ can decide to waive your membership fee for the first year.
You can process payment of your membership fee here.
